Laura has over twenty years of experience as a health care attorney handling and writing on matters such as: medical staff bylaws, credentialing and peer review, regulatory and accreditation, telemedicine, general contracting, graduate medical education, patient rights, allied health professionals, research, hospice, employment, long-term care, and behavioral health. Laura joined the University of Michigan Office of the Vice President and General Counsel in 2014, after serving as a Shareholder with Hall Render and practicing in-house at non-profit health systems. Prior to law school, Laura’s work experience included health administration work with Henry Ford Health System. Much of Laura’s current practice is dedicated to supporting the health system’s medical staff and regulatory compliance activities.
When work allows, Laura likes to travel with her husband and daughter and also spend time up at their “camp” on Lake Superior. Her hobbies include playing the violin and cooking.
