Tara joined the UM Office of the Vice President and General Counsel in 2018. Her work centers on supporting the research mission of the University, with a particular focus on Michigan Medicine. Key areas include research misconduct, research security, federal funding, clinical trials, HRPP, and biosafety. She also serves on a number of University committees, acts as the OGC liaison to the six institutional review boards of the University of Michigan Medicine School (IRBMED), and is an active member of the National Association of College and University Attorneys​.
